Parking Department

  • Moving In & Out of the Residence Halls

Picture of parked vehicles

During move-in days in August and move-out days in December and May, the Parking Department will make every attempt to accommodate students. During the move-in process in August, University Police Officers will be directing traffic in and around the residence hall area. Parking will be permitted on the grass and sidewalk, provided that one person stays with the vehicle until it is unloaded onto the sidewalk. The vehicle then will need to be moved to the Park Center Parking Lot (PER).

For move-out days the University Police Department will allow parking next to the residence halls and grass areas for loading purposes only. Once the vehicle is loaded it must then be moved to a regular parking space. Please note that due to weather conditions parking in the grass may be prohibited so as to limit damage to the turf.

Please feel free to call the Parking Department at (607) 753-4123 with any questions.
