Cortland Sport Management faculty and students are actively engaged in many research projects. To assist students with research, the college subscribes to three sport industry specific online databases: SBRnet, SportDiscus and the SportsBusiness Journal's archives. To access them on campus, students can simply visit the database's Web site. While away from campus, students can log on through the Cortland Memorial Library's off campus access page. All Cortland Sport Management students are required to subscribe to the SportsBusiness Journal during the academic year. SBJ, the top sport business publication in the country, is actively used in all sport management classes during current event and comtemporary issues discussions. Sport management students receive a username and password to access the SBJ archives as part of their subscription. Students receive their weekly printed issue in class.
