CORTLAND, N.Y. (May 2007) – The Dartfish Northeast Training Center at the State University of New York College at Cortland will be holding Dartfish Training Seminars throughout the summer, fall, winter and spring semesters. The trainings will be held in the college’s Sport Media & Technology Learning Center in Room 128 of the Studio West Building during selected two-day periods. Visit this Web site as well as www.dartfishtraining.com for the updated training schedules.

Dartfish video analysis technologies and know-how are widely recognized for exclusive televised broadcast footage and breakthrough training applications for sports, education, healthcare and more. SUNY Cortland, located at the Eastern gateway to the Finger Lakes Region in the heart of New York State, has been a Dartfish training site since 2005. Level I Dartfish Training includes extensive instruction and hands-on experience with the Analyzer, DV Import & Export, In-the-Action, SimulCam and StroMotion modules in version 4.0 of the Dartfish software. Several examples and case studies from sports, education and healthcare will be shown and discussed. The trainings will prepare attendees for Level I Dartfish Certification and give them the practical knowledge needed to effectively use the software in current or future jobs in the industry.

The seminars will be led by SUNY Cortland Professors Daniel DePerno (sport management) and Jeff Bauer (biomechanics). Dartfish-ready computers and digital video cameras will be on site. Participants can also bring their own laptop and camera to use during the seminars.

Coaches, athletes, educators and students who are interested should contact DePerno at depernod@cortland.edu or call 607-753-5507. Registration is $450. Students can register to take the seminar as a college course at a reduced rate. Hotel accommodations are available at the Hampton Inn in Cortland at $60 per night if needed. Group discounts are available. For more information about Dartfish, visit www.dartfish.com.
