CORTLAND, New York – The Sport Management Department at the State University of New York College at Cortland will hold its annual Suzanne Wingate Memorial Golf Tournament Saturday, Sept. 23 at the Willowbrook Golf Course, 3267 Route 215, Cortland.

Proceeds from the tournament benefit the Suzanne Wingate Memorial Scholarship Fund for sport management majors. The scholarship, given each spring, became endowed in 2001. Previous recipients of the award are: Glenn Odebralski (2006), Miranda Quinn (2005), Douglas Forster (2004), Thomas Haslett (2003), Karin Pindle (2002), Chad Homer (2001), Brian Duprey (1999), Joseph Barbarito (1998) and Brian Marion (1997).
The event at the 18-hole, par-70 course starts at 9 a.m. A barbeque chicken dinner and Chinese auction will be held at 3:30 p.m. The cost is $50 per person or $200 per team. The deadline for registrations is Sept. 15.
