Local School Districts
The two larger school districts are Cortland City Schools and Homer Central School. The public elementary schools in Cortland, Homer, Dryden, Virgil and Marathon have a good reputation, as well as St. Mary's, the local Catholic school. Several other quality private and alternative elementary schools are located in the upstate New York area within driving distance. Housing
While Cortland is a great community with affordably-priced housing, it is also an easy commute from larger cities such as Ithaca and Syracuse. Homer and Dryden are also popular places to live among the faculty.
