Casey and Smith Towers

Casey and Smith TowersCasey and Smith Towers are each 10 stories high and are connected by a common second floor allowing students to walk from one tower to the other through a breezeway.  Together Smith and Casey Towers are commonly know as the Towers Complex and were built from 1971-1972.  The complex is managed by two professional staff members, the Complex Coordinator and Assistant Complex Coordinator. Each tower features four-person and six-person suites.  Four-person suites have two bedrooms , a bathroom and a lounge .  Six-person suites have three bedrooms and a larger bathroom and lounge.  Upper-class and transfer students reside in the Towers complex.

Towers Complex Highlights:

  • Residents are housed on floors 3-10.
  • The student staff of each Tower is made up of 8 Resident Assistants (RA) with one assigned per floor.  There is 1 Administrative Assistant (AA) and 1 Academic Peer Mentor (APM) for the entire complex.
  •  The 1st floor of the complex provides secondary entrances to the complex, laundry room in each Tower , study space , and custodial and maintenance space.
  • The second floor is often referred to as the main floor because of the facilities and front entrances on this floor.  On this floor are the recreation lounge, study lounge, conference room, RHA office , each tower’s student staff office , the CC’s and ACC’s offices, and two computers for any resident to use which are networked to a photocopier nearby on the floor.
  • The recreation lounge is equipped with a billiard table, ping pong table, air hockey table, foosball table, electronic dartboard, and a big screen TV.
  • Vending machines are located on the 2nd floor of each Tower and use your college ID as a form of payment.
