REC 106: ROCK CLIMBING (1 credit)

Learn
the fundamental skills and equipment necessary for a safe rock climbing experience. The basics of rock climbing such as belaying, knots, and efficient movement will be mastered on the climbing wall at Cortland before venturing to a nearby crag for a day of outside climbing. All necessary equipment will be provided.

The advanced rock climbing class covers additional skills and techniques. Students must have taken rock climbing or instructor’s permission to take the advanced rock climbing class when offered.

Class fee is $35 (covers transportation, equipment rental, gear use, climbing permits)
