Edward Moore
EDWARD MOORE is a native of Gainesville, Florida, and holds a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Music, Piano Performance from the University of Florida. Moore has performed as soloist and collaborative pianist in Florida, Mississippi, Michigan, New York City, Vermont, and upstate New York. Mr. Moore has performed as a collaborative artist for several college choirs, vocal ensembles, solo singers, and instrumentalists. Moore also has an extensive background in musical theatre, having held the position of music director of musical theatre productions while on the faculty at SUNY Brockport. Mr. Moore’s most memorable position as Music Director was with the Production “Peace Day,” which completed two tours throughout the former Soviet Union in 1990 and 1991.
Moore has also collaborated with colleagues at Syracuse University by performing as musical theatre director and vocal coach of productions such as “Threepenny Opera” and “Once on This Island.” Moore’s most recent performances at SUNY Cortland were as piano soloist with the Cortland College Community Orchestra, April 2006, and as solo pianist in a Faculty Recital, February 2008. Mr. Moore is currently Associate Professor of Music at SUNY Cortland College.
