Volunteer Work Weekend
Dates: May 16-18, 2008

Rick Haldeman raking

The volunteer weekend is a great way to get involved in the Center. Arrival is Friday night anytime. Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. for those who can make it. We will have an informal meet and greet after dinner. Work starts Saturday after breakfast and continues until 4:30 p.m. We will break for lunch at 12 o'clock noon. Check out will be Sunday morning after breakfast. You are welcomed to stay and paddle around awhile. The weekend is free of charge in exchange for elbow grease!

Past projects have included changing faucet seals, cleaning, constructing new walkways, raking, washing windows and rebuilding the fire ring. Projects for this year include furniture repair, painting, preparing and trimming the gardens, raking, scraping paint, washing and oiling wood walls and more.

We send out a huge thank you to everyone who has helped in the past and is planning to in the coming year. It is greatly appreciated! It is often hard to accomplish so many tasks in a timely fashion with our small staff.
