ASC family camp is a time for ASC employees and their families to get together and enjoy themselves in a beautiful setting. There is no formal programming during family camp. Instead, families can take advantage of their free time together to enjoy all that Raquette Lake has to offer. Canoes and kayaks are available for those who want to explore the lake, which is the largest natural lake in the Adirondacks and boasts 99 miles of shoreline. There is also a beach with a swimming platform and plenty of sand for sandcastles. For those who prefer to explore the area on foot, gorgeous hikes are just minutes away. From a leisurely stroll to Buttermilk Falls to a more challenging climb up West Mountain, something can be found to suit everyone. "What a wonderful family weekend. Non-stop fun fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, or just sitting by the lake reading a book. My son can't wait to go back." -Annette O'Hara
During a stay at Antlers, families are housed in the Main Lodge, the Cedars, and the Terrace Cottages. In the evenings guests can usually be found playing cards or ping-pong in the Main Lodge living room, or roasting marshmallows and making s'mores at the campfire pit in front of the Terrace Cottages. Meals are a great time to meet and get to know other families. Breakfast is served buffet style from 7:30 to 9:00 to accommodate those who want to get up and go, as well as those who want some extra sleep. Lunch and dinner are family style meals, served at noon and 6:00. During meals, guests share stories about their day's adventures and plan future expeditions. Think about joining us for another fantastic year! The reservation form can be found at the top right of this page. Feel free to look at pictures from previous family camps. |
