Alumni at Raquette Lake

At various points throughout the summer, Antlers and Camp Huntington host sessions of Alumni Family Camp. These are times when alumni and their families can get together to enjoy themselves in a beautiful setting.

There is no formal programming during Family Camp. Instead, families can take advantage of their free time together to enjoy all that Raquette Lake has to offer. Canoes and kayaks are available for those who want to explore the lake, which is one of the largest natural lakes in the Adirondacks and boasts 99 miles of shoreline. There is also a beach on the property with a swimming platform and plenty of sand for sandcastles. For those who prefer to explore the area on foot, gorgeous hikes are just minutes away. From a leisurely stroll to Buttermilk Falls to a more challenging climb up West Mountain, something can be found to suit everyone.

During a stay at Antlers, families are housed in the Main Lodge, the Cedars, and the Terrace Cottages. During the evenings guests can usually be found playing cards or ping-pong in the Main Lodge living room, or roasting marshmallows and making s'mores at the campfire pit out in front of the Terrace Cottages.

Meals are a great time to meet and get to know other families. Breakfast is served buffet style from 7:30 to 9:00 to accommodate those who want to get up and go, as well as those who want some extra sleep. Lunch and dinner are family style meals, served at noon and 6:00. During meals, guests share stories about their day's adventures and plan future expeditions.

Many Alumni and their families have made a trip to Antlers a yearly tradition. Each session of Family Camp is both a time to reconnect with old friends and a chance to make new ones. Current offerings are either five day or seven day sessions.
