The Center for Environmental and Outdoor Education
Academics

The Center administers an interdisciplinary environmental studies minor and areas of concentration. The minor requires a core of 11 credit hours. Students may also select a track in:
• Environmental Education and Interpretation
• Outdoor Pursuits
• Organized Camping

Currently, areas of concentration are available in the following disciplines:
• Environmental Health (Health Science)
• Environmental Management (Biology)
• Environmental Policy (Political Science)
• Outdoor Recreation Management and Education (Recreation) with emphases in:
• Outdoor Leadership
• Camp Management
• Natural Resource Recreation Management
• Environmental and Cultural Interpretation
• Pre-Environmental Science and Forestry


Students interested in one of these disciplines as a minor or concentration must seek approval of their academic advisor.
