Training Opportunities with the NYS IRRC!
Inclusion U Training A one-day workshop that teaches you how to be an Inclusivity Assessor. Once you complete Inclusion U, you are able to complete accessibility surveys, using the Inclusivity Assessment Tool.
Recreation Referral Service Training
Teaches you how to be an Inclusion Advocate. You can then receive referrals from the NYS IRRC to facilitate the inclusion process for an individual with a disability in your community or region who needs additional assistance with recreation.
Staff training, in the form of technical assistance, can also be provided by NYS IRRC upon request. More information about technical assistance can be found in the Resource Center.
If you are a trained, certified Inclusivity Assessor, the "For Trained Assessors Only" page will have all the tools and resources you need to continue to assess recreation opportunities in our state.
If you are a trained Inclusion Advocate with the Recreation Referral Service, the "For Trained Inclusion Advocates Only" page will have all the tools and resources you need to continue to facilitate inclusion one person at a time!
