D. Jean Lodge

D. Jean Lodge is a botanist for the USDA Forest Service in their Forest Products Laboratory in Puerto Rico. She has worked in Puerto Rico for the past 17 years as an mycoecologist and as a taxonomic mycologist. Developing base line information on fungal biodiversity in the Greater Antilles has long been Jean's dream. She organized this impressive group of mycologists to work on the Basidiomycetes of the Greater Antilles project and in collaboration with Tim Baroni, wrote the proposal which was funded by the National Science Foundation. Jean is also actively involved in providing information and logistic support for researchers working on biodiversity research on other groups of fungi, especially the Ascomycetes.
