The reddish brown to tarnished brass colored pileus is viscid when wet. The similarly colored stipe is non-reticulated and pruinose. Both the white context and greenish-olive tubes turn blue when cut. It is often found around pine stumps, rarely on pine cones.Return to:Main Page | |Species List
