Boletus roxanae
Frost

Photograph by T. J. Baroni ©1998
A beautiful little bolete with a reddish- or yellowish-brown
pileus that is obviously fasciculate-tomentose. The stipe is gourd-shaped, mustard yellow to golden yellow.
Frost named it after his wife. The image also shows one specimen of B. innixus (Frost) which also has
a gourd-shaped stipe.
