Boletus spadiceus var. gracilis

One of the smaller boletes in the northeast with a velvety-subtomentose pileus that is dingy yellowish-brown or dull reddish-brown. The stipe is slender, yellowish and cinnamon-pruinose. The pileipellis turns green with the application of ammonia. It sometimes grows on buried wood debris.
