Tylopilus chromapes

Singer placed it in Leccinum because of the scabrous dots on the stipe, which however do not darken in age. A. H. Smith & Thiers placed it in Tylopilus because of the cocoa-brown spore deposit. The pileus is a delicate pink in color, the scabrous dots are also pink while the basal area of the stipe is chrome yellow...one of the most distinctive boletes.
