Suillus luteus
(Lime) Gray

Photograph by T. J. Baroni ©1998
A very common Suillus in pine plantations that may have been introduced in the northeast (and elsewhere on our planet) with plantings of Pinus sylvestris. The pileus is viscid-glutinous, some shade of brown, with a detersible pileipellis. The stipe is white and glandular-dotted, the membranous veil white and dark chocolate on the outside.
