International Distance Learning Grant Application

The purpose of these grants is to encourage faculty to incorporate an international distance-learning component into their class or to develop an entire international on-line distance-learning class in collaboration with a colleague abroad. Stipends of $500 will be awarded for development of an international distance-learning component in a class and stipends of $1,000 will be awarded for development of an entire international on-line distance learning class. All teaching faculty, both full-time and adjunct, are eligible. The submission deadline is “rolling” with work expected to be carried out in the summer or winter session and/or semester or year prior to when the class component or entire class will be taught. (The lead-times needed to complete preparations will vary greatly and the grant guidelines are intended to be flexible in this regard.) The recipient may work with the college’s Instructional Media Design Specialists who will help coordinate course distance-learning platform and technical issues. Application guidelines are available from the Office of Information Resources.
