Mission Statement
Information Resources is responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, and managing the information and technical resources and services of the campus. Information Resources advocates the utilization of information and technology to enhance the educational experience for SUNY Cortland students so that they graduate with information and computer fluency in a way that supports the College's Mission Statement, promotes critical thinking, and develops the skills necessary to function in our changing technological society. Information Resources supports student, faculty, and staff needs, facilitates distance learning initiatives, and provides a full complement of services to support the curriculum and campus administrative needs.
Associate Provost for Information Resources
Paula Warnken is the Associate Provost for Information Resources. The Associate Provost for Information Resources administers the planning, development, coordination, and implementation of all information resources on the SUNY Cortland Campus. The Associate Provost for Information Resources works closely with the five departments within Information Resources, and with faculty and administrators throughout the campus to determine information and technological needs and to develop programs and provide resources to meet those needs.
The Associate Provost for Information Resources works with SUNY campuses and other non-SUNY campuses and SUNY System Administration to coordinate planning and share resources. The Associate Provost for Information Resources has administrative responsibility for a staff of 70 and a budget of approximately $4 million.
