Dr. Robert Darling (Associate Professor) was a recipient of the 1998-99 Chancellor's Award for Teaching Excellence . Darling was awarded the medal at the May Commencement Ceremony. Congratulations Bob!


David Cole (B.S. Geology-Chemistry, 1973) receives Distinguished Alumni Award and recognition from SUNY Cortland. Congratulations Dave! Dr. Cole is currently a senior staff scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee.

Undergraduate Jim Milligan doing field research in Blackstone Bay this July. Jim is working with Dr. David Barclay, using tree-ring records to study climate change in coastal southern Alaska. Click here to see photos of this summer's work.
