The SUNY Cortland Faculty Training Center provides training and individual assistance to faculty and staff in using technology to create and enhance their teaching materials and improve efficiency of use in performing daily routines. In addition, the Faculty Training Center strives to help users of technology to become independent users of the technology that is available through small group workshops and one-on-one assistance.

A reference tool, much like an encyclopedia, that allows individual
faculty members to access two-to-four page descriptions on a broad
range of topics that address teaching and learning. These descriptions
also include ideas for applications in the classroom. Your SUNY Cortland

This site explains the College's Composition (CPN) and Writing-Intensive (WI) Course requirements. It also gives visitors detailed information about writing across the curriculum (WAC), WI courses, and other writing initiatives at Cortland. Extensive resources are provided to both faculty and students for effective teaching and learning about writing.

The SUNY Training Center (SUNY TC) is a component of Advanced Learning and Information Services in the office of the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. The SUNY TC is a special-purpose, system-wide organization within SUNY that promotes the use of leading-edge educational technologies throughout the State University. The Center, located in Syracuse, makes training and professional development available on a diverse list of multi-media systems and hundreds of software programs.
