About the Department

Student Recording The SUNY Cortland Department of Kinesiology is housed under the college's school of professional studies. The Kinesiology department consists of three academic programs.

The athletic training program leads to a B.S. in athletic training. The exercise science and sport studies program's choices are either a B.S. in kinesiology: fitness development or a B.S. in kinesiology with a required concentration in either exercise science, coaching or sport studies.

Assembled in the Kinesiology department are a diverse collection of disciplines that examine a wide-range of topics involving human movement (exercise science), the humanities (sport studies), sport injuries (athletic training) and wellness (fitness development).
