About the Department

Student Recording The SUNY Cortland Kinesiology Department, housed under the College's School of Professional Studies, offers three academic programs.

The athletic training program leads to a B.S. in athletic training. The exercise science and sport studies program's choices are either a B.S. in kinesiology: fitness development or a B.S. in kinesiology with a required concentration in either exercise science, coaching or sport studies.

Assembled in the Kinesiology Department are a diverse collection of disciplines that examine a wide-range of topics involving human movement (exercise science), the humanities (sport studies), sport injuries (athletic training) and wellness (fitness development).
