SCEMS provides a structured residence hall program that RA's can request us to perform. These programs are designed to present in the residence halls for the student's education.

Topics Covered: We provide information on our location on the campus, our response to emergencies, and what one should do when faced with an emergency. We explain how to call and what to say to the dispatcher and why University Police sometimes shows up with us on a call. This program is designed to the educate students of our existence and how we serve this campus. There is a demonstration provided to include the students. This usually involves placing a volunteering student as a head injury patient and then going through the procedure to backboard them.

Length: The programs usually last no longer than one hour.

Planning Time: We need at least two weeks notification with a contact phone number. We also would like a phone call approximately two days before the event to confirm all our dates and times.
