About
SUNY Cortland EMS, originally known as the Cortland State Emergency Squad, was begun in the late 1970's. At the time the squad was considered a club and began the fight for recognition. The Cortland State Emergency Squad was officially established in October 1981 with only 10 members and an office located in a nonfunctional bathrom in Brockway hall. The Sqad then moved to Winchell hall in the cramped confines of a coat room. The next move was to a nice three room ofice in the back basement of Van Hoesen. The final move was to A-23 Van Hoesen Hall, which is where we still reside today.
