The Campus Artist and Lecture Series is a college committee comprised of students, faculty, and staff charged with enriching the cultural life of the college and the surrounding communities. CALS sponsors an annual performing artist series. Artists include professional dance companies, musicians, and off-Broadway performances.
CALS also sponsors a campus wide lecture grant program where both regional and national speakers are featured annually. The program is funded by the Mandatory Activity Fee, ASC Program Grant fund, and the Cortland Fund.

Tlen-Huicani means "the singers" in the indigenous Indian language of Nahuatl. The group remains one of the most faithful interpreters of the traditional folk music of Veracruz, Mexico and most of Latin America. Since 1973, their music and international achievements have earned the honor of 'Best Folk Group in Mexico' by the Union of Music and Theater Critics.
