Traffic Advisory for SUNY Cortland Commencement Weekend

Please prepare for delays at Exit 11 of Interstate 81!!

The bridge near the McDonald’s/Wendy’s/Friendly’s intersection just off Exit 11  is under construction and we anticipate heavy delays in this area during Commencement Weekend.  Please consider using one of the alternative routes to arrive at the Campus.

From the South:   
Take Interstate 81 North to Exit 10.
Turn left onto Route 41 North, which becomes Route 11.  
Proceed along Route 11 (Port Watson Street).
Stay in the right lane on Port Watson Street and cross over Main Street.
At this point Port Watson Street becomes Tompkins Street and Route 13.
Stay on Tompkins Street for approximately one mile, then take a right on Pashley Drive.
Take the second right-hand turn off Pashley Drive to the Park Center.
Alumni Arena is located inside the Park Center

From the North:
Take Interstate 81 south to Cortland Exit 12.
Stay straight on the exit ramp and drive to the traffic light for Route 281/Ithaca.
At the traffic light take a left onto Route 281.
Stay on Route 281 for approximately three miles.
Take a left onto Stratton Drive and follow the service drive past the Stadium complex and the Park Center.
 
University Police and Traffic Assistants will direct you to the appropriate parking lots.
 
For overnight guests staying at the Comfort Inn or Quality Inn, please allow for extra travel time through the construction area.
