The classifieds ads are provided as a convenience for members of the SUNY Cortland community to advertise or seek goods and services that would typically be posted on campus bulletin boards.
Use of the classified ads is limited to SUNY Cortland faculty, staff and students. Users must comply with all campus policies relating to the use of computing and networking resources and electronic services.
By posting an item in the SUNY Cortland classifieds ads, you agree to the following terms of service and agree that your posting will comply with the guidelines set forth below.
In order to prevent abuse and keep this forum appropriate for our community, we reserve the right to remove any ad or posting in violation of our guidelines. All ads or postings that are determined to be in violation of our guidelines are subject to immediate removal, without prior notice. By posting an ad here, you agree to the following:
I agree that I am solely responsible for the content and accuracy of any information contained in the advertisements or notices I post on the SUNY Cortland classified ads and I assume the risk for any losses or damages to myself or to others that may result directly or indirectly from any of my postings on this system. Further, I agree to release and hold harmless SUNY Cortland for any losses or damages I incur as the direct or indirect result of my postings on the SUNY Cortland classified ads.
You further acknowledge and agree to comply with the following guidelines and terms of service:
- The classified ads are provided as a convenience to the SUNY Cortland community. It is not a high priority service and will be maintained and supported only as time permits.
- The classified ads are available to on-campus users only.
- Any language deemed to be obscene, patently offensive, or inappropriate to reasonable persons will not be tolerated. SUNY Cortland reserves the right to evaluate and determine whether any posted information is obscene, offensive or inappropriate. Such determinations are not subject to appeal. Ads or postings in violation of this rule are subject to immediate removal, without prior warning. Disciplinary action may be sought against individuals who violate this requirement.
- Any language deemed by reasonable persons to be discriminatory in violation of the SUNY Cortland's Policies on Harassment (Student Handbook, chapter 495) or federal or New York state law will not be tolerated. SUNY Cortland reserves the right to evaluate and determine whether any posted information is discriminatory. Such determinations are not subject to appeal. Ads or postings in violation of this rule are subject to immediate removal without prior warning. Disciplinary action may be sought against individuals who violate this requirement.
- Ads or postings promoting activities, services or goods that violate any policies of SUNY Cortland or that would be illegal under federal or New York state law are prohibited. Ads or postings in violation of this rule are subject to immediate removal, without warning.
- Any ad or posting that is determined by appropriate SUNY Cortland support staff to be inappropriate for posting on the Classifieds System, a test posting, a joke, or an otherwise insincere posting is subject to immediate removal without prior warning.
- Inappropriate or repeated misuse of the Classifieds system may result in disciplinary action by the appropriate SUNY Cortland administrative authority.
