Charlie Abourjilie

Building upon fifteen years of classroom experience, Charlie Abourjilie has also served as a football and women's basketball coach, mentor teacher, extended day school principal, Communities in Schools site director, and directed widely acclaimed initiatives at both the district and state levels. Most recently, Charlie spent three-and-a-half years as North Carolina's state Director for Character Education, and more than two years serving as the Curriculum Facilitator (Lead Teacher) at Eastern High School in Greensboro, North Carolina. In March 2008, Charlie was named as the Assistant Superintendent for Veritas Sports Academies. Charlie is also the author of the widely acclaimed Developing Character for Classroom Success (2000), and the forthcoming Get REaL! ~ Foundations for Great Teaching, Great Classrooms & Great Schools.
