LIFE AFTER CORTLAND

Career Blog.  This an on-line resource for Biological Sciences faculty to share relevant job announcements with students.  This is a new addition (February, 2008) to the web pages and begun by Dr. Mary Beth Voltura.   As it is personalized by the SUNY Cortland Biology faculty, it offers more directed information than some of the resources listed below.

Careers in Biology.  Being a biologist can be a fulfilling and exciting profession provided your own personal goals, talents, and interests match the activities of biologists.  The information on these pages provides general career information for a variety of interests and careers in biology.  Explore this area and discover the diversity of biology.  Prepared by The Society for Integrative and Comparative Biology Educational Council.

Peterson's Online. This site provides information about graduate programs. Searches for graduate schools are possible by area of interest or geographical location. Information is also present about summer programs and careers. The amount of information seems somewhat limited at this point but you may find some interesting information.

Biologists in Government.  Cathy Van Arsdale '89 who is working for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a physical anthropologist has suggested that "the government has many jobs for biologists."  Thank you to Cathy for this information.
