Biography: After graduating from Cortland I moved to Coos Bay, Oregon where I worked for several years with the Oregon Department
of Fish and Wildlife and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). In 1991 I received an M.S. in Fisheries Science from
Oregon State University and continued working for the BLM as a Fishery Biologist. I was married in 1992. John and I have a
daughter (Libby, age 7) and a son (Ben, age 5). We moved to Champaign, IL in 1998 where John has nearly completed the
requirements of a doctorate in Civil and Environmental Engineering. I am currently working as an environmental compliance
coordinator for the University of Illinois. We don't know where the next move will take us but we hope to make it back to the
forests and streams of Oregon.

Biography: Received my Masters Degree in Anthropology at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Got married in October 1999. I
have been working for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers St. Louis District (Missouri) for eight years as a physical
anthropologist analyzing Native American human skeletal remains in archaeological collections belonging to many federal
agencies to help bring the agencies into compliance with federal laws. Also working directly with Native American tribes to
help return their ancestors.

Biography: Three kids (all dig science!)and a friendly divorce
(Eric and I remain close)and I'm still swimming! Since my time at Cortland, I've
worked in many different fields--entomology, dermatology, oncology, immunology
and enzymology. I'm about to do a full circle and get back into entomology! I
love seeing all your names and glad that you memories are as fond as mine.

Biography: Since I graduated with my bachelors I've been bouncing around from one temp position to another. I started out with a great job in the USGS doing fisheries work. I got paid to catch fish and go scuba diving. Unfortunatly all good things must end just like my term so I had to find another job. That put me in a hospital as a medical technologist. I didn't like that very much so I've moved onto a quality control position in a microbiology lab for a food additives company. During all of this I've also worked on a masters in education that is nearly finished.

Biography: I have been busy teaching. I am
at Red Hook High School in Dutchess County. I
received my Masters in Science Teaching ( major chemistry, physics minor)from
South Dakota State University in 1996. I am able to teach
chem,physics,earth and bio. I am the bio mentor for Dutchess County. I
have three wonderful children; Sarah(7.5), Rachel(5) and Matthew(3). My
husband is a City of Poughkeepsie Police Officer. I currently teach
International Baccalaurate Biology higher level.

Biography: 2006 Entry: I moved to Alaska in Dec. 05 and have recently found a
position working to keep up environmental regulations for companies in the
Arctic Slope of Alaska. 2007 Entry: I've been enjoying the
winters here with snowboarding, ice skating, and snow shoeing. The summer's are
amazing and it gives me time to play around a lot outdoors. I've been doing a
bunch of fishing, white water rafting, hiking, biking, birding, camping, etc.
I've been working for MACTEC, Inc. as an environmental scientist. So far I've
done work with wetland delineations and remediation projects.

Biography: Since leaving Cortland in May 1988, I was immediately employed as a lab technician for an
asbestos company. Identifying airbourne asbestos fibers. I worked at that job until Sept.
1989, when I became employed by the Town of Colonie in Albany County as an Environmental
Laboratory Technician. Where my specific duties include microbiology, wet chemistry, and
analytical chemistry. I am still working for the Town of Colonie, but I am currently seeking
other employment in the science field.
I greatly enjoyed my years at Cortland, expecially those many hours in the lab late at night
studying for lab practicals!

Biography: After graduating from SUNY Cortland I started
working for the Southern Tier AIDS Program in Ithaca- assisting with the AIDS
Ride for Life annual fundraiser, the Tompkins County Syringe Exchange Program,
HIV/AIDS and Hep C educational outreach, and client services. I am now a
graduate student at Cal State LA studying nutritional science. I am working
towards becoming a Registered Dietician and earning certification in alternative
nutrition.
