Biography: Well, it's been 32 years! I am a biology professor at Bergen Community College in Paramus, NJ.
I received my B.S. from Cortland in 1970, M.S., 1972, in zoology from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio and my Ph.D. from
N.Y.U. in Plant Ecology in 1983. I still conduct research on the vegetation of the wetlands in the Mohonk Preserve, New Paltz, N.Y. and teach a course called
"Intensive Wolf Study" at the International Wolf Center in Ely, MN in the winter and summer.
The education I received from Cortland was nothing less than superb, stimulating and inspiring. My biology professors were
excellent role models.

Biography: I've been living in Australia since 1974. I taught
marine science and biology and then did a grad degree in agriculture. Worked for
16 years in sales and marketing in ag industry and now have my own business
mainly as a journalist helping to promote good agricultural practice. Live on a
farm in South Australia with my wife and chocolate lab. Two kids grown up and
fledged - almost. We breed quarter horses and watch our wheat grow. Still fish,
sail and birdwatch (thanks Gus!). My Cortland biology education was a superb
foundation for life-long life science learning! I've never encountered a
concentration of educators of that standard since. Would love to hear from other
'70s bio majors. Cheers.

Biography: After graduating I took a position in the science
department at Tamarac High School (as a biology teacher I know there should be a
"k" at the end but there isn't). It is a school outside Troy, New York and I
have been there ever since.
While I started out teaching biology and general science, I eventually got
certified in chemistry and have taught that and biology since the early 80's. I
have served as Class Adviser (a four year commitment each time) to six classes
throughout the years and have enjoyed my time at the school. Several former
students have gone on to become Cortland Alumni. I am classical muisc buff and
an avid concert goer and am a member of an area choral group. Both of these
activites were nutured while at Cortland. I still am in touch with the roommates
I had while at Cortland and have been back for several reunions.

Biography: We left Cortland in the summer of 1989 to come to
sunny Fl. I taught at Boca Raton Community High School until the school I am at
now opened last year and I transferred to take the Dept. Head position. My
husband Mark and I still keep in contact with Bob Wallace (formerly PE Dept. and
Baseball coach) and have attended several alumi events. My son Samuel graduated
from the University of South Florida and is currently teaching 6th grade science
in the Tampa area.
