The
Visual Resources Collection
is a library of slides, videos, and photographs on the history of
art. It was begun in 1966 to support the teaching of the Department
of Art & Art History. The collection contains over 120,000 slides
including painting, architecture, sculpture, photography, graphics,
drawing, and material culture. Since 1987, all slide acquisitions
have been entered into the Art History Slide Collection Database,
which has approximately 23,000 records to date.
