Lori Ellis joined the faculty at Cortland in the fall of 2000. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Art and Art History, and teaches Painting and Drawing. Lori has a Master of Fine Arts degree from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The University of Michigan. Lorišs visual arts career includes 10 years of professional experience in design and art direction, as well as fine arts experience in many media. She has exhibited her paintings regionally and nationally since 1985. Her mission in teaching is to help students find their unique process of creative development, as well as understand their connection to the rich history of artists who came before them.
