Opportunities to Give
The Alumni Association’s Opportunities to Give Program was created to allow SUNY Cortland alumni and friends the chance to support the association’s goal to create a permanent endowment of $500,000 for the Alumni House. This fund will be used to ensure the preservation of this marvelous home and its history.
If you are interested in becoming a permanent part of the Alumni House’s history, consider one of the naming options below. These opportunities offer you the chance to have your name or that of a loved one forever associated with the SUNY Cortland Alumni House.
Make your gift commitment today and become a part of history.
Naming Options
If you'd like more information about any of the giving options listed below, please return a completed Naming Options Information Request Form.
1. Furnish-a-Room Program
Currently five rooms of furnishings are available; the Brown, Curry, Phillips, Rist and Rist Sitting room. Donation amounts per room range from $4,000 to $19,000. Permanent recognition will be in the form of a plaque located in the furnished room. Furniture in each room is a combination of Stickley and antiques.
2. Name-A-Garden Section Program
Extensive gardens cover the Alumni House grounds. Many contain perennial and annual plants as well as mature bushes, shrubs and trees. A local landscape architect was hired to survey the garden. As a result of this work, there are 20 separate garden sections available for naming privileges.
Prices range from $500 to $2,500. A permanent recognition plaque will be installed at each section that is purchased.
3. Name-a-Room Program
All rooms have been named. Thanks to our alumni and friends for their generous support.
