Black History Month Schedule of Events (Spring 2009)

We have lined up an exciting group of people for our Black History Month Sandwich Seminars. They are held on Wednesdays from 12:30 to 1:30 P. M. and Thursdays from 12:00 to 1:00 P. M. in Jacobus Lounge Brockway Hall, unless otherwise noted. Below is the list of Sandwich Seminars. If you are interested in having any of these speakers visit your class or give additional presentations, do let me know in advance. We look forward to seeing you there.

The Africana Studies Department Web site has been finished. Thanks to Dr. Christopher Latimer and Loren Leonard for their tireless efforts. Please take a moment to surf the new site and take advantage of the information we have provided.

Study Abroad Program

In conjunction with the International Programs Office at SUNY Cortland, the Africana Studies Department has established a new study abroad program with the University of Ghana, Legon, Ghana, West Africa for students and faculty. Students and faculty who are interested in studying or researching in Ghana should contact the Africana Studies Department or the International Programs Office.
