Non-Traditional/Adult Honor Society

Alpha Sigma Lambda (ASL)

  • Standards for Alpha Sigma Lambda membership at SUNY Cortland are as follows:
    • Members must be matriculated, undergraduate students at SUNY Cortland and have a minimum of 24 graded semester hours completed at SUNY Cortland.
    • Members shall be selected only from the highest 10 percent of the class who have 24 graded credits and are matriculated in an undergraduate degree program.
    • Members must be at least 24 years of age.
    • Those selected must have a minimum grade point average of 3.2. The cumulative scholastic record of the student as interpreted by the institution where membership is to be conferred shall be the basis for computing scholastic eligibility.
    • Eligible members will be notified in mid-March 2009.
  • Alpha Sigma Lambda National Scholarship
    • To be eligible for the scholarship, you must have a minimum of a 3.2 GPA, be at least 24 years of age and have completed 30 hours at SUNY Cortland.
    • You do NOT need to be a member of ASL to apply.
    • The 2009-2010 application is now available. Application deadline is Thursday, April 16, 2009.
