ACS Staff
Academic Computing Services (ACS) staff support over 7,000 customers and a network of more than 2,200 computers and 6,500 peripherals for all administrative and academic offices, computer labs, residence halls, and special computing sites. The staff consists of six groups.
Technology Help Center provides first source of information and problem resolution for computing services to the entire campus community. They handle phone, email and walk-in inquiries.
Lab and Technology Classroom Group supports 60 classrooms, mobile carts, and laptops; and 18 computing labs with over 500 Windows systems. They also maintain the print management system.
PC Services Group supports all campus Windows PC customers with purchasing, installations and troubleshooting. They coordinate repair services and maintain daily operational readiness of computing equipment campus-wide. They maintain 29 special purpose PC labs.
Macintosh Services Group supports all campus Macintosh customers with purchasing, installations, troubleshooting and application use. They coordinate repair services and maintain daily operational readiness of computing equipment campus-wide. They maintain the public and special purpose Macintosh labs.
Technical Services Group supports the development of courseware, web sites, databases and specialized programs for research, instruction, and offices.
WebCT Technology Support supports WebCT Course Management software package offered by SUNY Cortland.
