Get an account– Faculty and staff must fill out out the e-mail account request form: Word or PDF. After completing the form send or bring it to the Help Center at Winchell Hall.

Using Outlook mail client – Faculty and staff may use the Outlook mail client. Training sessions are available at the Faculty Training Center in the library. This e-mail client has more features than WebMail. Some popular features include spam filters, automatic signature files and calendar sharing. Once you have attended training, you may contact the Technology Help Center to have your Outlook client installed and configured.

Converting from previous mail clients to Outlook – Faculty and staff are encouraged to convert from their current e-mail client (Eudora, Netscape Mail, Outlook Express, etc.) to Outlook. The Technology Help Center provides the following services:

  • Installing the Outlook mail client
  • Configuring the client
  • Moving mail from any previous client to the Exchange server
  • Moving any previous address books to the Exchange server
  • Assisting new users with basic questions

A typical conversion takes about an hour and can be done remotely with minimal assistance from the customer. Requests are handled on a first come, first serve basis.
